Kingsman : The Golden Circle 'Review' (No Spoilers Version?)
So, today me and my friends went to watch Golden Circle. I'm so emotionally unstable at how good it was right now, so writing on this blog might help to ease it a bit (sorry to sounded a bit overreacting, but it's true so...)
First thing first, this blog will be as clean as the title says (aka no spoilers). Or at least there will be no OBVIOUS or MAJOR spoilers, because let's be honest, how can people actually make a review without spoil it just a little bit right? So enjoy~
Most importantly, I love the sequel so freaking much. I actually have a brief second thought about the film quality the night before. And it's all because of the over-advertising thingy on their social media. It really has TONS of snippets I admit it, and lots of photo stills (do people use that words?). They made feel like I've already watched the film WITHOUT actually watching the film, you know?
But BOI I WAS SO WRONG. They just gave enough clips to get the film familiar with without spoil it to much. The advertisement team had done a hella good job. So if any of you feel just like me, I can assure you that the clips didn't make the film less good, at all.
And i just love how Matthew (aka the director) made this sequel a bit more emotional. Because I'm thirsty of emotional scene in this serial. I always feel the emotional scene on the first film was a bit rushed so it made it a bit under appreciated (or easy to just ignore or forget). I was so mad that they didn't even let Eggsy cried his heart out when Harry died. So yeah, I guess Matthew paid for it in this second film.
The action was better than the first film, I think. But note this, nothing beat the church scene. Because let's be honest, it's the bop-est (okay really now, do people really say that?) of them all. But better action scene usually means involving more CGI and stunts. Just so you know...
The romance was good. And when i mean good, it means it's not to much. It's there, but it's enough. And I'm thankful for that. I mean can you imagine to much romance in Kingsman movie? Big no for me.
The new characters (yes, I'm looking at you Statesman agents) were good too. Matthew did a really good job making the link between the Kingsman to the Statesman in my opinion. It wasn't forced at all, and surprisingly make sense. The introductory and theirs motives were good as well. To me this part was pretty worrying and crucial, because I was scared that the new thing might ruin what Kingsman had. To be honest, I have a little struggle liking changes or new things toward film. And I was so afraid that I might get disappointed because of this new important characters that makes this sequel bad (I know I know I sounded over dramatic). Plus, I'm really allergic to this-part-doesn't-even-make-sense-at-all-but-let's-just-get-on-with-it kind of scene, so...
And yeah, that's apparently it.
Please note this. This is just a one-time watching review. I haven't remember all the details to the film nor the dialogues nor the others. This is just a very raw review about what a 16 years old fangirl just watched. Feel free to criticize me on the comment section (whether if it's my grammar, my style of language, the typos, or simply my opinions). Really do hope you enjoyed reading it.
Until next time, bruv. See ya.
